For about 100 years after its completion in 1912, the Amarube Viaduct watched over the JR San'in Line. In 2010 it was replaced by a concrete bridge, but three piers on the JR Amarube Station side were preserved and reborn as the "Sky Station" observation facility. A park beneath the bridge offers an arbor built on the old piers and a lawn where you can relax.
